About the dude....
I'm Rob. I'm 35 years old and work as an engineer at a major aerospace company here in Seattle during the day and I make music at night.
How long have you been playing music? Music has always been in my life...I started playing trumpet in 4th grade and haven't stopped making music since.
Who trained you? I am self
taught... I play most instruments by ear but I am classically trained to play trumpet from sheet music and can stumble through piano pieces and read guitar tab.
When did your recording experience begin? I started recording my first songs in 1994.
Why the weird studio name? I grew up in upstate New York. After graduating college I moved to the Seattle area all by myself. All my friends and bandmates were still back in New York so I had no choice but to start my solo career. I took out my small 4 track cassette recorder and an electronic drum machine and went to work. Hunched in a small, dimly lit room, I worked on songs I knew only my immediate family and closest friends would ever hear.....now that's an incredible loner!! (derived from the reference to a 'horrible' loner making music in his basement from the movie "1/2 Japanese")
Why are you doing this? Music is my passion and I want to of course make a living off of it. If I am not destined to make it big...then maybe I can help you to do it.
So please come and take advantage of the fact that I want to help you to use my studio to create and achieve your dreams. I look forward to helping you along your journey.
Rob
